The deal, for the length of the tenants' agreements, will give access to discounts on the BII's training schemes and professional services such as stock-taking, accounting and HR. A Portsmouth pub landlady has won the latest round in her court battle with the English Premier League over her use of a Greek TV decoder to screen games.
The High Court found in favour of Karen Murphy, who runs the Red White and Blue pub, this morning, according to the BBC.

A pub landlady from Portsmouth is going to the High Court in London in a dispute with the Premier League over showing English football games on a foreign decoder. The case could cause a major shake-up in the way football TV rights are sold and potentially pave the way to cheaper viewing of foreign broadcasts of top-flight English games.

London-based pub company Young's has put 14 freehold pubs up for sale. Thirteen of the pubs are from Young's tenanted estate in London and the Home Counties, with the 14th a managed house in Bristol. Young's currently has a portfolio of around 90 tenanted pubs and 150 managed.

The Devonshire Arms pub in Chiswick, west London, has shut less than a year after opening. Owner Nick Gibson, who also runs the Drapers Arms pub in Islington, north London, said the pub had closed with immediate effect. He took over the site, formerly called the Devonshire last June and reopened it after a mild refurbishment in July.
