Located on the island of Mahé overlooking the marine national park of Port Launay, the Constance Ephelia Resort is set within 120 hectares of lush and rare tropical vegetation. It is the sixth property to be opened in the Indian Ocean by the Mauritian-based company, the Constance Hotels Experience.

Surrounded by tea fields and yet only a 20-minute drive from the centre of Hangzhou, Amanfayun is the latest luxury hotel from Aman Resorts. Established during the Tang Dynasty, it comprises 47 dwellings that originally housed villagers who tended the tea fields.

The Banyan Tree Al Wadi is the first luxury desert resort in the UAE to offer an all-pool villa concept. The property is a 45-minute drive from Dubai International Airport and 20km from the city centre of Ras Al Khaimah. The hotel opened on January 2010.

Celebrity chef Alan Murchison, who owns the Michelin-starred L'Ortolan and La Bécasse, has relaunched this restaurant in Bedfordshire, which was previously owned by the late Peter Chandler. Set in 22 acres of parkland, it accommodates 35 covers as well as private dining facilities.

The team behind Charlotte's Place in Ealing has launched this sister restaurant in Chiswick. Divided into a bar and main dining room with walnut wooden floors and leather banquettes, it offers a British bistro menu. The restaurant opened its doors on 11 February.

Italian chain Carluccio's has launched its latest outlet in Wimbledon Village in south London, comprising a café, restaurant and food shop. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, it also offers a takeaway service, while the deli sells a range of cupboard items and gifts.

This Soho restaurant specialises in pizza al taglio (by the slice) which is cut with speciality scissors and sold by weight. Baked in large trays, the pizzas have a thick base made from dough that is left for a minimum of 72 hours. The 20-seat restaurant opened on 2 February.

Housed in the site formerly occupied by short-lived Taiwanese outfit Keelung, this Chinese restaurant offering Sichuan cuisine is the latest venture from the Leong family, who own 15 modern Asian eateries in London. The 120-seat restaurant opened on 1 February.

This is the 12th opening from Bristol-based group Loungers, which comprises a neighbourhood restaurant and bar in Birmingham's Harborne district. Open all day, the seasonal British menu ranges from breakfast through to late dinners. The 60-seat restaurant opened on 20 January.

Masterchef presenter and fruit and vegetable specialist Gregg Wallace has launched this café in Putney, south west London. Head chef is Marco Pierre White protégé Tim Payne, who is serving a seasonal British menu. Some of the produce is also for sale. The restaurant opened on 14 January

D&D London has relaunched this restaurant in St James following a minor refurbishment that has seen the introduction of a new private dining room and a new head chef. Mikko Kataja joins from Launceston Place and serves a modern British menu. The restaurant opened on f18 January

Scottish celebrity chef Nick Nairn has launched this restaurant at the Doubletree by Hilton Dunblane Hydro hotel, which has recently undergone a £12m refurbishment. Offering views over the Campsie Fells, it serves a menu focused on local ingredients.

Set half on land and half on water, The Yas Hotel comprises two buildings, which span the Yas Marina Formula I circuit track. The exterior is covered with 5,000 LED lights enabling the hotel to display different shades and colours, including animations.
