Atul Kochhar closes Vatika and plans to relocate restaurant to London

Atul KochharMichelin-starred Indian chef Atul Kochhar has closed his restaurant Vatika on Wickham Vineyard in Hampshire. Kochhar, who first opened Vatika in summer 2008, will relocate the restaurant to London where he plans to reopen it next year. However, a new site for the restaurant has not yet been earmarked.

Potato gnocchi by Silvena RowePreheat the oven to 200°C fan/gas mark 7. Bake the potatoes for 1.5 hours. Remove and leave until cool enough to handle. Halve the potatoes, and scoop out the flesh into a bowl. Put the potato flesh through a potato ricer, to mash finely.
