As part of the refurbishment and repositioning of the 20 year-old Deep Pan Pizza chain, owner DPP restaurants has placed a contract with Victor Manufacturing for custom-made heated and refrigerated island mobile buffet bars. The units, which provide Victor with its first major contract in the pizza sector, reflect significant menu changes at the chain including a range of ready-made salads, an enlarged - 23 strong - choice of deep pan pizzas, new pasta dishes and more starters, desserts, and wines.
The mobile blown air refrigeration section of each unit is based on an extended Caribbean servery, with deeper well. Both heated and refrigerated units are mounted on swivel type castors for operation on standard 13 amp plugs. Both units feature granite surrounds with brass corner flash features.
Another requirement on display units was a longer heated display which could be accesses from all sides. The new cabinets incorporate both wet and dry well bain-maries to accept Primeware dishes holding pasta recipes.
