There is nothing like a good feed on Valentine's Day to get people in the mood for love

They say that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach, well, no. Most men respond more readily to being let off the washing up for an evening - which will guarantee a bumper number of meal covers for the week of February 14. Now is the time to make sure that that you have everything you need to deal with the St Valentine's Day love bonanza.

Recipe Ideas from 3663

Passion Cake

Ingredients (Makes a 900g (2lb) cake):

450g 3663 Smart Choice Sponge Mix
75ml Orange Juice
150ml Egg and Water mixed
225g Carrots - grated
50g 3663 Smart Choice Broken Walnuts - chopped
225g Cream Cheese
Rind and juice of one Lemon
50g 3663 Smart Choice Walnut Halves

Method:

1. Make up the sponge mix as directed on the packet, using the orange juice, egg and water.
2. Add the carrots and chopped walnuts and whisk for 30 seconds.
3. Pour into a greased and lined 23cm (9") cake tin. Bake at 180°C (350°F) Mark 4 for 1 hour.
4. Mix the cream cheese, lemon rind and juice. Sweeten to taste if necessary.
5. When cool, smooth over the cream cheese and decorate with walnuts.
