Douglas blows his own trumpet

Tuesday 08 July 2003 15:37
Be prepared to be inspired by Arla Foodservice (Hall 19 - Stand No. 1561) at this year's Hospitality Week as the dairy solutions giant unveils a host of new initiatives including a brand new flavoured Lurpak range, specifically launched with the hospitality and catering sector in mind.

Having already established itself as the UK's favourite butter brand and apparently first choice of nine out of 10 professional chefs, Lurpak is launching an exciting and contemporary new range of flavoured butters in three flavours - Garlic, Mediterranean Herbs and Lime and Chilli. These new products will offer a wide-ranging appeal and versatile usage to caterers, enhancing breads and vegetables and complementing pasta, meat and seafood.

Arla will be offering visitors the opportunity to sample the new flavoured butters as well as seeing on-stand cookery demonstrations of dishes made with Arla products, throughout the day. A new Lurpak presentation format specifically for the Hospitality sector is also going to be unveiled at the Show.

Also on show will be Cravendale PurFiltre milk which is filtered to remove more of the bacteria that traditionally cause milk to sour. This process means it stays fresher for longer and up to twice the duration of standard milk. Available in whole, semi-skimmed and skimmed in 1 and 2 litre packs.

Rosenborg cheeses - a range of speciality blue cheeses including Danish Blue and Blue Brie.

Discover Speciality Cheese - a range of speciality cheeses including: Mild Feta, Greek Feta, Feta in Oil, Salad Feta with Green Olives and Garlic, Salad Feta with Black Kalamata Olives (see left), Orange Roll - a soft cheese with orange liqueur, Garli - a soft cheese with garlic and herbs, Pineapple Ring - a soft cheese with pineapple, Havarti, Emmental, Mozzarella

Caf‚ MET, 2 98.5 per cent fat free flavoured milk drinks, targeted at adults - Choc'O' Latte and Moch'A'Latte.

GULP! Flavoured milk drinks - low fat flavoured milk in chocolate, strawberry and banana flavours in 500ml bottles.

And as an extra treat, Hospitality Week visitors will be able to meet Lurpak's infamous Douglas the Butterman, who will be around for the duration of the week. S'pose he will be blowing his own trumpet!
