The long-mooted Beatles inspired Hard Days Night hotel in Liverpool finally opened its doors to the public today.

The £20m, 110-room four-star boutique hotel, which is located in the heart of Liverpool’s "Beatles Quarter" on North John Street, is adorned with Beatles artwork throughout both the rooms and public areas.

The hotel, which has been in development since 2001 and was originally due to open in 2003, is housed in a Grade II listed building.

It has two penthouses, two conference rooms, a wedding suite, two bars and two restaurants, The Brasserie and Blakes, both serving modern British cuisine.

Mike Dewey, general manager at the Hard Days Night Hotel, said: “The team and I are very excited about the opening and look forward to welcoming our first guests. However, as much as I’m sure our guests would love to; unfortunately nobody will be able to stay for eight days a week.”
