Stephen Lambert becomes director at Intertain

Intertain, the company formed to buy out the venues of now defunct Regent Inns, has appointed Stephen Lambert as non-executive director.

Lambert has previously held positions at Oasis Healthcare, Punch Taverns, and Inn Business Group.

Intertain owns the Walkabout brand, as well as Highlight comedy bars, which were formerly Jongleurs comedy bars, until Jongleurs' co-founders Maria Kempinska and John Davy regained complete control of the comedy brand when licensee Regent Inns fell into administration.

Commenting on the appointment, John Leslie, Intertain chief executive said: “I am delighted to welcome Stephen to the board. He brings a skill set that will help us immensely at a time when, by focussing on entertainment, we are seeking to create a clear divide between Intertain venues and other operators on the high street.”
