Four new stainless-steel, plug-in fryers from Pantheon have a sturdy yet simple design to eliminate dirt traps and allow easy access to parts.

There are two models with six-litre wells, in single and twin-tank versions, and two with 11-litre tanks, again in single and double formats.

Twin wells have individual controls that allow different foods to be cooked at the same time - as well as offering potential economies from using just one well for limited quantities of food (which can be cooked in a dishwasher-safe basket with foldable handles).

Common features include temperature indicator light, rapid heat-up, safety cut-out thermostat, pull-out handles for lifting and emptying the tank, and rubber feet.

The fryers, which come with a one-year parts and labour warranty, range in price from around £160 to £470.
