Developed by spa and salon operators with global experience, Spasmatter2 is based on a set of cards that outline a series of simple, routine checks that need to be carried out each day across key areas. They identify what actions are required, and provide physical proof of compliance with regulations.
The system - which can be tailored to individual businesses - covers health and safety, fire safety, human resources, operational standards, business management, security, marketing and promotions, green awareness, performance management and legal requirements.
It includes a monthly planner and an action/observation log to encourage ideas from staff. Spasmatter2 costs less than £200 and will be joined early this year by an online version.
