 RE 200 double-contact grill

The British-made RE 200 double-contact grill offers the choice of either two cast iron ribbed plates or an upper ribbed plate matched with a lower plain one.

Each independently-controlled plate features twin elements to ensure even cooking, long life and the opportunity to make off-peak savings in energy use.

Although most commonly associated with paninis, contact grills are equally suitable for cooking fish fillets, turkey breasts, hamburgers, steaks, pork chops, omelettes and pancakes. Their rapid cook rates - less than two minutes for steaks and chicken fillets and less than one minute for toasted sandwiches - make them ideal for fast-food outlets.

The grill, which runs off a 13amp socket, is also available as a panini model for heating high volumes of large baguettes.
