Gordon Ramsay has reached a settlement with father-in-law Chris Hutcheson, after dismissing him in October 2010 for alleged financial impropriety.
Hutcheson, the former CEO of Gordon Ramsay Holdings, had challenged the reasons for his dismissal and begun legal proceedings to counter claims that he had withdrawn money from the company to fund a double life.
The pair have now settled out of court, for an undisclosed amount, and withdrawn their claims about each other.
In a statement Gordon Ramsay Holdings said: "We can confirm that Gordon Ramsay and Gordon Ramsay Holdings have reached a settlement with Chris Hutcheson and other members of the Hutcheson family.
"The terms of the settlement are confidential but we can confirm that Chris Hutcheson is no longer a director or shareholder of Gordon Ramsay Holdings and all civil litigation and employment tribunal claims brought by each of the two parties and other family members have been withdrawn."
Gordon Ramsay was awarded £250,000 in December after a judge ruled that Hutcheson had illegally accessed his e-mail and computers.
The award followed legal action launched in August by Ramsay after finding that personal e-mail messages had been read.
At the time Justice Briggs found Hutcheson, his daughter, Orlanda Butland, and son, Adam Hutcheson, liable for breach of confidence. He ordered that they hand over documents obtained as a result and pay Ramsay £250,000 costs.
The High Court heard that Hutcheson had raised two children with a mistress, funding them with his six-figure salary. Claims that Hutcheson took money from Gordon Ramsay Holdings to fund his double life were to be heard at a later date.
The pair have now reached a settlement and no further action will be taken.
