The event now boarding is the 2003 Hospitality Action Ball leaving on the Orient-Express from the Great Room at Grosvenor House Hotel on 5 September. Themed as the stylish Venice Simplon-Orient-Express around 850 guests will be welcomed as passengers to an evening of grand style and luxury as if on board this famous train. Departing from London on the route of the Orient Express to Venice, the evening will take passengers through the sights, sounds and tastes of France, Switzerland and Austria arriving at the final destination - Italy for the pinnacle of the evening, a grand masked ball.
The evening promises to be a journey not to be missed and as well as enjoying the grace and style synonymous with the Orient Express, guests will know they are helping to support the industry's benevolent charity, Hospitality Action. For 166 years, Hospitality Action has benefited people in distressed circumstances within our industry, not just with financial assistance but also with welfare information, grants schemes and emotional support. Last year the charity paid out nearly £400,000, an impressive figure, still significantly short of being able to satisfy all the requests for help. In fact Hospitality Action had to turn down one in four requests for assistance last year.
The Hospitality Action Ball is a great way to support your charity with ticket and table sales, raffles, the spectacular auction and this year specially commissioned, glamorous masks will be de rigueur for the masked ball and available on the night.
Tickets for first class travel are £150 each or £1,500 for tables of 10, call station mistress Astrid on 020 7301 2917 to make your reservation. Or write 400 on the free information card attached to the front cover.
