Celebrity chef Jean-Christophe Novelli is to launch his second gastropub, The French Horn pub at Steppingley near Bedford in Milton Keynes.
The move follows the launch of former Michelin-starred chef’s first gastropub, the White Horse in Harpenden, in 2006.
According to a report in a local Bedford paper, The French Horn will provide two dining options including a formal 60-seat restaurant and a more causal bar area offering a selection of beers and wines alongside a bar food menu.
Novelli's right-hand man, Wesley Smalley, will take the helm at The French Horn.
In 2006, Novelli refused famously outspoken food critic Michael Winner entry to The White Horse.
Winner had booked a table for lunch at Hertfordshire pub but was greeted with a message that he was not welcome.
Novelli said the writer and film director had in the past upset many of his friends, staff and customers with his "rude and pompous attitude".
