Shortlisted for this year's Hospitality Week new product awards, the Meiko FV40.2 dish and glass washer comes with a Mike2 palm top computer diagnosis tool able to communicate directly with the machine's electronics via infra-red link. The unit can rapidly identify warewashing faults and thus speed up repairs, servicing and maintenance, in effect "transporting" the machine's innards to the Meiko factory.
The unit can also record rinse and wash temperatures, helping to prove due diligence, and can confirm if faults are within the dishwasher or outside (for example in the water supply) to save the cost of an engineer call-out.
