The Nevin family has bought the Inn on the Wye in Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire. James Nevin and his wife, Elin, along with their sons Jamie and Nick, have bought the 10-bedroom property for more than the £695,000 asking price. James, a former regional chairman of the Panel of Chefs of Ireland, and his chef son Nick will run the kitchen. Colliers Robert Barry was the agent.

The Mayland Mill, a pub in the village of Mayland, Essex, has been sold for £50,000 for a 12-year lease. The property has a 50-seat restaurant, and buyer Yakub Ali, from London, is planning to focus on Indian cuisine. The pub also has owner's accommodation comprising five bedrooms. Beau Rivage changes hands
Whitstable's Beau Rivage restaurant, on the north Kent coast, has been sold for more than its £385,000 asking price. Neil and Gina Evans have sold the restaurant, which specialised in local seafood and game, after owning it for 16 years. Local couple Richard and Natalie Myers are the buyers of the 40-seat property. Nathalie has 16 years' experience in catering. Beau Rivage has a bar and three-bedroom owner's accommodation. Christie & Co was the agent.
Gloucestershire pub owners make fourth purchase
The Baker's Arms in the village of Somerford Keynes, Gloucestershire, has been sold for significantly more than its £495,000 asking price. Buyers Nick Beardsley and Christophe Coquoin already own three pubs in the county and intend to extend its opening hours. The agent was Colliers Robert Barry.
Bath hotel sells for watered-down price
The guide price of Duke's hotel in Bath was £2.25m, but the 18-bedroom Grade I-listed property was sold for a sum closer to £2m. Kilspindie House hotel in the East Lothian village of Aberlady has been sold for more than £750,000. The 25-bedroom hotel has a function room and a restaurant to seat about 30 diners.
