A lucky catering student could win a month’s work experience at one of Michelin-starred chef Michael Caines’s restaurants, as apart of a new bursary. Entrants will need to design a three-course menu, with ingredients sourced from two local suppliers, describing in no more than 100 words what inspired the menu. The bursary is open to students studying in sixth form and further education colleges in England.
Sponsored by the STAR Awards, a national awards scheme set up by the Department for Education and Skills, the competition closes on July 21.
Entries should be sent to katharine.preece@geronimocommunications.com, marked "Michael Caines bursary". For more information go to www.dfes.gov.uk/starawards
