Service en Chambre is a luxury kit from Café du Monde aimed at revitalising the presentation of bedroom beverages in prestige hotels with 10 or more bedrooms, and has already caught the attention of Exclusive Hotels, Elite Hotels, the Hempel and Red Carnation.
Available only to customers of Café du Monde's luxury coffees, it comprises a brown leather flip-top box embossed with gold lettering that contains the equipment to make tea, coffee and hot chocolate for two. Contents include a two-person insulated cafetière using the company's new Cafetière Coffee in a bag format to prevent en-suite sinks being blocked with messy grouts.
There is also room for a one-litre stainless-steel kettle, two porcelain mugs, two leather coasters, two teaspoons, a stainless-steel milk jug (or jiggers), and compartments for drinks, sugar sachets and biscuits.
Clients who sign a two-year agreement get a 25% discount on each case, which costs about £1 per bedroom per week combined with a commitment to spend a further £1 a week on top-up ingredients. The teas are sourced from Queen's royal warrant holder Darvilles of Windsor.
