Ethnic and functional breads from CFP

Worcestershire’s Cotswold Food Partnership is launching a bread range to satisfy two perceived gaps in the market - for authentic, ethnic breads from Continental Europe and for healthy and functional breads, which CFP has developed in tandem with leading nutritionists and dieticians.

The two lines will be supplied as frozen, part-baked loaves for bake-off to craft bakers, in-store bakeries and caterers prepared to do the final baking themselves.

The launch portfolio will include a white loaf containing the same levels of nutrition and fibre as wholewheat, a “hearty” loaf developed with the Dutch Heart Foundation with ingredients to lower blood pressure and care for the heart, and Continental options such as rye and sourdough breads from Germany and a Polish rye loaf.
