Healthier suet puddings from Central Foods

Harmful trans-fatty acids have been removed from the 12-strong line of frozen, ready-baked suet puddings from the Great British Pudding Company, thanks to the replacement of hydrogenated fats with non-hydrogenated versions.

The company, which started up in 1988, says it has also improved the flavour and ingredients of its puddings by using only natural bouillons for the gravies. The savoury puddings, which include steak and kidney and vegetarian options, can be reheated from frozen in a 1,000W microwave oven in just six minutes without compromising the home-made appearance or taste.

They’re supplied exclusively by Central Foods to frozen food wholesalers and larger caterers in cases of 8 x 370g puddings, which form part of a minimum order of one pallet.
