Frozen food wholesaler MKG Foods has unveiled two new, competitively-priced seafood items to make school meals healthier and more interesting. They include fully-cooked lobsters from Maine in the USA, which have a launch price of £8.55 for a 440g crustacean. The lobsters can be defrosted overnight in the chiller and served cold or grilled for between five and seven minutes.

The Healthy Balance Fish Fillet pieces are par-fried, skinned and boned cuts of white fish fillets coated in natural, uncoloured breadcrumbs that turn golden when grilled or oven-baked. They come in the two sizes of 50-70g and 80-110g, with launch prices of 25p and 38p each respectively. The fillets are packed 60 (for the smaller size) or 36 to the case.
