Reading restaurant reviews, it's obvious that picky critics like nothing more for ammunition than badly spelt menus. But Chef Assist, a new computerised dictionary, could put an end to those mistakes, eradicating creme fraiche from menus when it should be crŠme fraŒche, and rocquette when it should be roquette or rocket, but not a hybrid of the two. The CD-Rom has some 4,000 entries (there's another one for sommeliers) and is compatible with all versions of Microsoft Word for Windows from Windows 95 on.
Price:
£19.99 for Chef Assist or Sommelier Assist, or £27.98 for both
