Neil Braude appointed hotel manager of the Cavendish

Acorn award winner Neil Braude has been appointed hotel manager of the four-AA-star, 230-bedroom Cavendish hotel in London.

Braude, 29, who was previously the hotel's revenue manager, will work alongside managing director Ciaran Fahy.

Fahy explained that Braude has demonstrated exceptional commercial ability combined with first class leadership and communication skills since joing the Cavendish in 2008. "Such is his commitment and enthusiasm to providing the best service possible for our guests, that I am very proud to be able to appoint him as hotel manager," he said.

Braude, who trained in hotel operations with Protea Hotels in South Africa, won the Team Leader of the Year Award at the Cavendish's internal Shine Awards in 2009.

He replaces Chris Penn, who has recently been appointed general manager of Flemings hotel, London. Katarzyna Ciblik has been promoted from assistant revenue manager to the role of revenue manager.
