Washer specialist Comenda has added an exclusive remote diagnostic system to some of its lines that allows dishwashers in need of attention to send a coded alert to a technician via an SMS text message.
Called HPS (Hygiene Plus System), the technology's use of the GSM telephone network is made possible by the integration of a modem and a SIM card.
The feature will be useful in sites where washing is continuous, such as hospitals, roadside restaurants and shopping centres. It records all the data of a wash cycle on a PC or memory unit (an L-Box) which can also be used for compiling HACCP reports.
HPS Connect is available on Comenda's FC series of front-loading dishwashers, the CE series of hood washers, and the GE series of front-loading, pass-through utensil and pot washers.
The company says the patented Proportional Rinse System used in its ranges - which also embraces rack conveyor and flight dishwashers and under-counter glass washers - can reduce the use of water, power and chemicals by a third.
