Sunday Telegraph restaurant critic Matthew Norman is moving to the Guardian.
Norman, who announced he was leaving the Sunday Telegraph earlier this month because it was revamping the way it reviewed restaurants, said he was delighted to be going to the Guardian.
"There's no political motivation for the move," he said. "I think my style will be different from Victor Lewis Smith's, but otherwise it will be the same sort of cobblers. We're not going out to close people down."
Guest writers have filled the vacant post of restaurant critic at the Guardian on Saturday since Victor Lewis-Smith left the job in April.
