A new cookery school in rural Derbyshire is looking for a chef to head up its kitchen and become a founding partner.
Lea Hall, the birthplace of Florence Nightingale, which has been taken over by new owners, will include a cookery school as well as a café and a public vegetable garden.
The owners are looking for a chef to become a partner in the running of the venture, which also includes plans for luxury accommodation for residential courses, as well as the creation and marketing of branded food.
A spokesman for Lea Hall told Caterersearch the role for the chef would include on-site accommodation as well as equal profit share scheme with the owners.
“The new partner will have the opportunity not only to take the cookery school as far as their energy and imagination allows, but will also have an input at the early design stage, specifically with regard to equipment and layout,” he said.
“The focus of the new school has not been finalised but this is dependent on the direction that the new partner would wish to explore and where there is significant experience.”
