Portable hotel group Snoozebox sets up at Stoneleigh Park
Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire has become the first exhibition and conference venue in the UK to install Snoozebox portable hotel accommodation.
The opening of the 80-bedroom unit today within the 800-acre site - which can accommodate 2,000 conference delegates and up to 40,000 visitors daily - will more than double the number of bedrooms it has available for events organisers and visitors from 58 to 138.
Snoozebox provides everything expected from a conventional hotel, including reception services, daily housekeeping and a 24-hour duty manager. Every bedroom has a double and a single bed, alongside an en suite wet room with power shower, flat screen TV, Wi-Fi and a safe.
Launched in 2011, Snoozebox has previously been used to support specific one-off events, such as the British Grand Prix and the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations, while Stoneleigh Park is installing the accommodation system for multiple events.
Ian Pegler, chief executive of Stoneleigh Park, said "Snoozebox provided an ideal flexible and immediate solution to the growing demand for on-site hotel bedrooms]. Indeed, as well as catering for existing clients, hopefully it will now attract more organisers to consider Stoneleigh Park for their events."
The Snoozebox hotel was constructed over two days and is situated next to Stoneleigh Park's existing four-star guest hotel
