A helping hand

When the going gets tough in the kitchen this Christmas, help is at hand from Nestle Foodservice with its Chef range of Sauce Bases, which only require the addition of water to produce stocks and sauces. They can all be microwaved for added convenience.

Varieties include Sauce Veloute (velvet sauce) which can be added to sauces to thicken and enhance flavour, while the Jus de Veau Lié can be used for braising meat and vegetables and as a base for all brown sauces.

Recipe ideas include Spiced Duck with Cranberry and Port Sauce and Veal Sausages with Red Onion Marmalade.

All products are available in 2 x 1kg tins and have a shelf life of 15 to 18 months. They are freeze thaw and bain-marie stable.
