Black Horse Country Inn and Restaurant

The former manageress of the Black Horse Country Inn and Restaurant is now the owner of the Grade II-listed property on the southern edge of the Gloucestershire Cotswolds.

Louise Hewett has managed the inn for the past two-and-a-half years on behalf of the previous owners, Easton and Alison Hogben whose company, Quality Inns of Gloucestershire, own another four pubs.

Hewett bought the property with her fiancé Jason Nabb and his parents David and Jackie Bega.

The six-bedroom Black Horse is located in the village of North Nibley, which is intersected by the Cotswold Way running from Chipping Camden to Bath.

It has been a public house since its construction in the 16th century.

The detached, three-storey building has a main bar, a 50-seat dining area, and a 30-seat restaurant.

Other facilities include the two-bedroom owners’ accommodation,  beer garden, car park and paddocks.

The Bristol office of Christie + Co sold the leasehold on the inn for slightly below the asking price of £255,000.
