Knorr 100% Mexican-style soup

The new Mexican-style soup in the Knorr 100% line tips a hat to two special dates that Mexicans will be celebrating around the world this year - the 200th anniversary of Mexico's independence from Spain and the 100th anniversary of the Mexican Revolution.

The ambient chunky soup uses authentic Mexican ingredients such as peppers, onions, corn, tomatoes, meat and beans, and provides one of the recommended five-a-day portions of fruit and vegetables per 250ml serving.

Caterers can customise it with a garnish of sour cream and tortilla chips or the addition of boiled rice, coriander, fried onions, shallots and chilli.

The soup is sold in packs of 4 x 2.5-litre pouches that yield 40 x 250ml servings.

To help caterers tap into the Mexican fiesta ahead, Knorr has posted a range of Mexican menus on the Unilever website and developed a diner customer loyalty promotion.

Other flavours in the 16-strong Knorr 100% range include Lentil & Bacon, Tomato, and Thai Vegetable.
