Hanover International, which was bought by entrepreneur Jack Petchey's investment vehicle Trefick last September for £38.3m, has lured Charles Prew (right) from Jarvis to be managing director of its 15 UK properties.
Prew, who has been a main board member at Jarvis since 1995, takes on the role left vacant by Ron Mills, who was promoted to chairman following the post-takeover departure of the company's founder, Peter Eyles, last year.
Prew's 30 years in the hospitality industry have included stints as director of Grand Metropolitan's County Hotel division, deputy managing director of Hilton UK, vice-president sales and marketing at Hilton International and chairman of Hilton Hotels (Australia and New Zealand).
His appointment completes the changes made to Hanover's senior management team since the takeover. The team has also brought in Rob McNeill from Corgi Toys as director of marketing.
