Vacherin appoints two new directors and lands EMI

City caterer Vacherin has appointed two new directors and landed a new contract at music publisher EMI.

The company has named Conrad Dean as operations director and Lloyd Mann as director of food, with Dean taking direct responsibility for the EMI deal, which it won following a tender process managed by Stern Consultants.

The contract covers staff dining and hospitality at EMI’s offices in Kensington and Hammersmith, plus a café and bar for staff and artists at the iconic Abbey Road studios. It was previously handled by Restaurants at Work.

Dean, who has worked as operations manager for Tate Modern Art Gallery and managed the commercial catering operations at Tower 42, will also oversee Vacherin’s contracts at Whitechapel – its first public restaurant – property agent CB Richard Ellis and the Imagination Gallery.

Mann was a member of the Charlton House executive chef team and will focus on chef development.

Launched in 2002, Vacherin has an annual turnover of £7.5m and operates 18 contracts at 18 sites in London.
