Yotel - standard room

Yotel will launch its first outlet today with the opening of a 46-cabin hotel at Gatwick Airport’s South Terminal in London.

Cabins come as premium or standard and comprise a double rotating bed, techno walls, pull-down desk, flat-screen TV and Wi-Fi access.

They can be booked in four-hour blocks or overnight with prices starting from £25 for four hours and £55 overnight.

Yotel was founded by Yo! Sushi founder Simon Woodroffe and chief executive Gerard Greene.

The concept is backed financially by Kuwaiti-based IFA Hotels & Resorts.

Woodroffe said: “Travelling can be a painful experience so we are looking to making it as pleasurable as possible.”
