Independent contract caterer Catering Academy has won a five-year contract worth £1.3m to cater at Merthyr Tydfil College in South Wales.

Under the terms of the deal, Catering Academy will provide daily catering and hospitality services from 8am to 8pm for the 4,000 students. It will also cater for the crèche that is provided for students attending the college.

This latest contract award extends Catering Academy’s presence in Wales following a £2m win with the Royal College of Music and Drama. The caterer has been contracted to complete the entire catering and hospitality at the college in a three-year deal.

Denise Marks, board director at Catering Academy said: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with two extremely prestigious clients.

“We have now successfully established an operating base in South Wales and we will be looking to develop our business in this area.”
