Midlands-based UK Countrylife is a food manufacturing company that was formed to help sustain close links between farmers and local consumers and support the rural economy.

Its subsidiary brand, Farmshop Fresh, was developed specifically to supply pubs and restaurants in the Nottingham, Leicestershire and surrounding area wanting to put local food on their menus.

New dishes for Christmas include Fountains festive pheasant breast with a minced game and mushroom topping on a red cabbage and apple casserole; Ashbourne celebration chicken escalope with a smoke bacon, chestnut and thyme topping; and a roast turkey meal with gravy, chipolatas and stuffing.

Price: pheasant £3.70 per portion; chicken £2.75; turkey £2.75 (£22.20 for 10)
