The owner of the renowned Woolpack Inn pub in Eskdale, Cumbria, is among those reported to be injured in a series of shootings in the area in which 12 people were killed.
Harry Berger, is understood to be in a stable condition after being shot in the arm.
Local brewer Dave Bailey said on Twitter: “Harry from The Woolpack Inn injured - I already knew, but not my place to say - he is stable.”
Harry and Paddington Berger, previously of the nearby Boot Inn, recently took over the pub and B&B, which won the Les Routiers Real Ale Pub of Great Britain award in 2005.
The first reported fatal shooting was in Whitehaven at 10:35 yesterday morning, after which the gunman fled east.
There were another 11 people injured in the shootings which took place across west Cumbria, according to the BBC.
Police say a body, believed to be that of the suspect Derrick Bird, has been found in the Boot area of the Lake District.
