Theo Charalambous, executive director of Cyprus-based Tsokkos Hotels, is the new president of the Hotel & Catering International Management Association (HCIMA).
He is the first HCIMA international councillor to become president of the association, the professional body for managers in the hospitality industry. Outgoing president Alistair Telfer handed over the presidential chain of office to Charalambous at a formal ceremony at the HCIMA's recent annual dinner.
The association currently has 27 UK offices and 16 international groups, and earlier this year moved to new purpose-built offices in Sutton, Surrey.
