Just for starters

A trio of terrines is among a new selection of starters from Woodward Foodservice. The first two, both weighing 1kg, are chicken with chicken liver and tarragon wrapped in bard, and poached salmon pieces wrapped in nori seaweed. There's also a duck and cherry confit terrine in individual portions. All three should be stored frozen and can be defrosted in a fridge in 12 hours. Also new is proven‡al cheesecake with basil, garnished with a mix of sun-dried tomatoes, olives and courgettes and drizzled with pesto. Again, this can be defrosted in the fridge and has a shelf life of between two and four days.

PRICES: Chicken and tarragon terrine £8.96 (56p per portion); marble salmon and nori terrine £12.88 (81p per portion); individual duck and cherry terrines £26.45 for 12 (£2.20 each); proven‡al cheesecake £20.89 for 12 x 100g portions (£1.74 each)
