Hotel staff and tour operator rep charged with manslaughter at Corfu resort

Friday 03 November 2006 17:22

Five hotel staff and a Thomas Cook official have been charged with the manslaughter of two children at a Corfu resort.

The resort director, general manager and maintenance manager at the Louis Corcyra Beach Hotel, as well as the air conditioning installation manager and a maintenance employee, all face jail terms if found guilty.

The Thomas Cook employee was charged because the tour operator inspected the hotel.

No names have yet been released due to legal restrictions.
