The production company behind the BBC programme Masterchef: The Professionals is looking for contestants for the 2009 series of the show.
The competition, which debuted this year, is a programme featuring professional, rather than amateur, chefs.
Presented by Gregg Wallace and Michel Roux Junior, it is similar in format to the existing Masterchef competition and, as its makers claim, is “a perfect showcase for those with ambitions for greatness”.
The BBC2 programme’s makers, Shine Television, are now looking for chefs at all levels with drive, passion and plenty of creativity who dream of becoming the next Gordon Ramsay or Heston Blumenthal.
Chefs must be aged 20 or above on 1 February 2009, resident in the UK and have at least two years experience of working in a professional kitchen as well as the necessary qualifications including an NVQ Level 3 or 706/01 and 706/02.
For an online application form go to www.masterchef.tv If you have any questions contact the Masterchef team on 0871 210 8882 or e-mail masterchefprofessional@shinelimited.com.
This year’s winner of Masterchef: The Professionals was Scottish chef Derek Johnstone.
