Gordon Ramsay Holdings (GRH) has stepped back from the day-to-day involvement in its two-Michelin-starred restaurant at the London Hotel in New York.

The restaurant, which includes the London Bar modelled on the Maze restaurant concept as well as the eponymous fine-dining restaurant, is the fourth overseas venture GRH has sold this year.

It follows Maze in Prague, the two-Michelin-starred Gordon Ramsay restaurant at the Trianon Palace hotel in Versailles, France, and the Michelin-starred restaurant at the London West Hollywood hotel in Los Angeles.

The restaurant, which opened in Midtown Manhattan three years ago, has been sold to the owner of The London hotel, LXR Luxury Resorts.

The change to the business relationship sees the running of the food and beverage operation pass to the hotel management with GRH offering consultancy on menu planning.

A spokeswoman for GRH said the move was inline with GRH’s international restructure.

“Inline with the restructure of the international Gordon Ramsay restaurants, the day-to-day operation of Gordon Ramsay at The London is now the responsibility of the hotel, which now operates the restaurant under licence from GRH,” she said.

“Ramsay and his team will continue to provide guests with menus and service standards that are the hallmark of Gordon Ramsay.”
