PATRICK ROBINEAU has joined London hotel One Aldwych as manager of its Indigo restaurant. He was restaurant manager at the Bird Cage, London.

Granada Food Services has recruited SIMON STENNING as general manager for retail development, working on both espresso and café bars, and on Granada's new Hampers brand. Stenning, who has worked with both Forte and Hilton, was senior operations manager at Pràt à Manger.

MOHAMED KAMAL has been promoted to deputy general manager at London's De Vere Park hotel. He was operational manager at sister hotel Harrington Hall, also in London.

MARC PENMAN has become head chef at the Creag Mor hotel in Gairloch, Ross-shire, from the Dornoch Castle hotel, Sutherland, where he held the same position.

The Millennium Britannia hotel in Mayfair, London, has promoted JANE PADMORE from assistant to personnel and training manager. It has also recruited a new front-office manager, CHRISTINA DOHERTY, who held the same title at the London Regents Park Hilton hotel.

IAN HARWOOD has filled the newly created role of deputy general manager at the Quality Hotel, Edinburgh Airport. He has been working as night manager at the Forte Posthouse, Glasgow.

PHILIP CATLOW has been named president of the Meetings Industry Association (MIA), and SALLY GREENHILL vice-president. Catlow has clocked up 30 years in the hotel and conference industry and, prior to setting up his Stafford-based consultancy, was general manager of MIA member Keele Conference Park. Greenhill is a director of conference development specialist The Right Solution.

ELLISSA NEWTON has been appointed human resources co-ordinator at the Radisson SAS Airth Castle hotel near Falkirk in Stirlingshire. She was human resources manager at the Radisson Resort Palm Meadows on the Gold Coast, Australia.

Reservations manager NORA KURITTU has moved to the Churchill Inter-Continental London from Le Meridien Piccadilly hotel, London.

RAY DUHANEY has been appointed operations manager for the 10 room restaurant in London. He was front of house manager at the Atlantic Bar & Grill, also in London.

PAUL WILSHAW is the new catering development manager at Courts Quality Foods. He was food development manager for Blue Boar Motorways and, before that, executive head chef at the University of Leicester.

PAUL MONTGOMERY has become head chef at the Swallow George hotel in Chollerford from the Swallow Gosforth Park hotel in Newcastle, where he was sous chef.
