Paris puts spring in Elior's step
French-owned Elior has won the contract to provide all catering at the Paris Expo exhibition centre in Porte de Versailles, Paris. The centre welcomes an average six million visitors a year. The contract will turn over more than €250m (£172m) over ten years. Elior will run 40 bars, four food courts, three restaurants and 16 vending stands, as well as providing catering for exhibitors and events.
West Country wins
Catering Alliance has added three new clients to its portfolio in the South-west and Wales. It has started a three-year contract with electronic goods firm Panasonic in south Wales, which will turn over £250,000 a year. Catering Alliance will provide breakfast, lunch, vending, trolley and hospitality service for 750 staff. A similar contract with Allied Bakeries was won as part of a group deal and has an annual turnover of £130,000. Catering Alliance will also feed 700 staff at chicken products firm Faccenda, also part of a group contract and with annual turnover of £270,000.
Moore joins Arsenal for Roma clash
Arsenal football club has teamed up with chef Michael Moore, owner of the Michael Moore Restaurant in Marylebone, London, to provide pre-match food to members of its Executive Lounge. Moore will be resident chef in the lounge on 11 March, before the Gunners' Champions League game with Italian club AS Roma.

Five local authorities have joined forces to launch their own school meals websites. The site features the school meals mascots of Surrey, Cheshire, Northumberland, Salford and Nottingham and includes educational games covering all areas of the food curriculum.
