An historic Suffolk inn that has featured in several episodes of TV comedy series Dad’s Army has changed hands.
The Grade II-listed Six Bells Inn at Bardwell in Suffolk - which is believed to date back to the 1500s – has been bought by Trevor and Margaret Grimoldby.
The property has been run by Richard and Carol Salmon for almost 20 years.
It is seven miles North East of the historic town of Bury St Edmunds and, with easy access to the M11, A11 and A14, provides a perfect base from which to explore East Anglia.
The Six Bells has 10 bedrooms, with planning permission to add three more.
Facilities include an eight-seat snug bar, a 20-seat bar servery, a 10-seat conservatory, and a three-bedroom owners’ flat.
The Norwich office of Colliers Robert Barry sold the property off an asking price of around of £685,000.
