Commenting on her new role, Buller said: “With food labelling, food quality, food procurement and nutritional standards all on the agenda for the coming year, one of my main priorities will be to ensure that LACA continues to be heard and properly represented as the voice of the education catering sector.”
She added: “For many LACA members, their professional roles have changed over recent years and I shall be ensuring that LACA continues to evolve as an organisation which reflects the needs and expresses the views of all in local authority catering.”
Buller, who is general manager of the catering division at Northumberland County Council, joined LACA in 1993.
Neil Porter, catering, cleaning and print services manager for Bristol City Council, becomes vice chairman.
