Spanish tapas chain La Tasca Group is to launch its first London La Viña restaurant this autumn.
La Tasca chairman John Barnes said today at the company’s annual general meeting that contracts had been exchanged on a site in the capital’s Fulham area. It is due to open for business in October.
The company is also building La Tasca restaurants in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, and St Martin’s Lane, London, and is due to open its third Sam & Maxie’s eaterie in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, in the autumn.
Barnes said trading had now recovered after suffering a dip during this summer’s football World Cup tournament.
