A new landmark hotel in the centre of Bristol will open three months late after heavy rain caused severe damage during construction.
The four-star Radisson SAS hotel was due to open this month but the opening will now be delayed to the New Year.
Seven floors of the 17 storey hotel were damaged when rain got in through the roof in May.
A spokesperson for Miller Construction said: "In May rainwater entered the building works through the roof. This occurred during an evening of what can only be described as freak weather conditions, which overpowered the rainwater outlets which were in place on the roof.
"We are carrying out reinstatement works on a number of floors of the building which will now open at the beginning of next year.
