Elior chief executive Michael Audis replaced

Elior chief executive Michael Audis has left the business and is to be replaced by Tim Hammond, ex-managing director of Barchester Healthcare.

Audis was with French caterer Elior for eight years, six of which as chief executive of its UK division, and he has left the business to pursue a new career direction.

Hammond, who took over the role at the beginning of January, began his career at Unilever where he held a number of positions before being appointed chairman of Lever Egypt, based in Cairo, and then senior vice president of laundry care Europe. He has also worked at management consultant firm McKinsey & Company.

Hammond joined Whitbread as corporate development director in 2001 before becoming managing director of TGI Friday’s. He has been managing director of Barchester Healthcare since 2006.

Dominique Pélabon, managing director education, healthcare & seniors – France & international contract catering, welcomed Hammond to the role and said: “We are very grateful to Michael for his commitment and achievements within the business and wish him all the best in the next steps of his career.”
