Emma Powell, a chef-manager at Wilson Vale, has become the company's first female area manager, assuming responsibility for a portfolio of clients in the Midlands. A chef for the past 13 years, Powell joined the contract caterer as a relief chef manager in May 2010. Powell has also been selected by Wilson Vale to take part in a Women 1st Step Up programme for developing managers.
