The opening brings together Gary and Kathy Jordan, owners of the award-winning Jordan Wine Estate, with former South African Chef of the Year George Jardine, whose eponymous restaurant in Cape Town was recently listed in the San Pellegrino World's 100 Best Restaurants for the second year in a row. Jardine uses a wood-fired oven and custom-built chargrill as the centrepiece of the kitchen.

Menu includes seared foie gras with pain de espices, pear tatin and parsnip; 40ºC confit of Stanford trout, sautéed mushrooms and port reduction; vanilla and organic raspberry soufflé, raspberry ice-cream.

Average spend R500 (£40) for lunch, including wine; R600-R700 (£48-£56) for dinner, including wine.
